Christmas Card Photo Shoot 2009

I had a bright idea. I wanted to use the night portrait feature, like we did in this picture at Disneyland, on Temple Square with the Christmas lights.
It didn't work. See. There was too much other light. It was also FREEZING (our car said it was 23) so there was no time for experimentation. The kids were turning to icicles right before our eyes.
We took some on auto but I didn't like the result. At all.
So we went for another round today up in the canyon. It was sure to be better than last night, the sun was out. Well, it wasn't. We got snow last night but it didn't stick to the tress like I had hoped. We kept driving further and further in the canyon looking for snow. The further we went the colder it got. It was 18 when we took these pictures. There were little snow flurries swirling around us. If we look cold, we are.

Andrew uncross your arms!
That's better.
I really liked this one but there was a little too much boot-ay and Paul looks like he is sitting on his hands.
So I cropped it but it looks a little tight when I make it a vertical shot.
The picture I will probably use was taken right before this one. I look like a two-headed monster because Andrew is all snuggled up next to me. Remember, it was 18. (I'm probably going to use it though because it looks the most natural. It's him being him.) Anyway I told him not to get so close. This was the result. Andrew is a little bit too far away.
I asked Paul what he was doing with his hand. He's holding his glasses out of the picture. Alrighty then.
The green blanket is bugging me.
My boys!
Daddy and Fritzy.
Notice Emma's hands? Do her arms look long? Her gloves aren't on right. Silly goose!
Andrew started screwing around and fell down. That was it. Stick a fork in him, he was done. He was crying and complaining. I tried to cheer him up but he wasn't having any of that so...
I went and got a picture with my mini-me.
I tried again with Andrew right before we left. He perked up a little, but not much.
So that's it. Our Christmas card picture photo-shoot 2009. Do you think I over-think this? Paul, don't answer.

I think they all look great! We're lucky to have everyone looking at the camera. The hand placement is fine trust me. Good sports you have.
