HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!!!

It was finally here. The day I wait all year for. Halloween! Emma was dying to carve her pumpkin. We made her get out of her PJ's and shower before she could start. Oh she thought we were mean.
Andrew always loves his "this is so gross" pictures.
She's making good progress.
By the time I was done with my shower he pumpkin was finished. It looked awesome!
It tired to devour Andrew
After pumpkin carving a nap was in order before dinner. It was glorious. We had our traditional pumpkin pizza from Papa Murphy's.

Then it was time for the transformations to begin. There was a ton of make-up, false eyelashes, & hair crimpers involved. Finally it was time for our Halloween photo shoot.

Andrew was a skeleton pirate who hated his mask and make-up. After putting eyeliner on him yesterday he was determined to be make-up free on Halloween. (Two thumbs down)
Emma begged for false eyelashes. Who am I to say no to fun make-up? She was pretty happy with how she ended up. Can you tell?

There was some swashbuckling going on between the pirates.

This year I chose to be Maleficent. I got the costume online from the Disney Store. It was gorgeous. Deep purple velvet, iridescent lining and sequins. I loved it!

Paul is pretty much a bah humbug when it comes to dressing up be he did it this year for me. His only requirement was that he wanted to be comfy so I made him a doctor/surgeon. Emma does serious about as well as I do ;)
Come on Andrew, smile!

Since this pumpkin never turned orange the kids wanted to make it a sick pumpkin. I obliged.
Here is Emma's again
Andrew's (Both Emma and I helped carve it)
Let the trick-or-treating begin.
I love trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. You know almost everyone and they are so cute!

Here is Emma and Brooke.
Emma's little sister Sarah.
Abe Lincoln's son Ethan.
Vickie and her beautiful family.
Look how cute Dean is with his sucker.
Paul waiting to hand out candy.
The obligatory kiss picture.
It was a gorgeous night. The lake was like glass. I love our view.
Paul was jealous of Chris' costume.
Krysta couldn't be any cuter. Make sure you read her shirt.
Elvis lives! (And boy is he hairy)
Shrek and Pooh
Andrew by Tami's house
Nick, Max and Braxton
The Skousen's yard is always amazing. This year was the best yet. These guys talked and sang.
I think this is my favorite picture of the night. I love how you can still see the glow from the setting sun and Emma looks so cute.
Mrs. Packman
Action shot
Maggie's pumpkin. How cute is that?!?
Each year the house plays the Thriller video on a continuous loop. The kids love it.
Another action shot. This is Gary and Julia's home.
How can you not think this is the greatest holiday ever?
Our pumpkins all aglow

Andrew threw in the towel much earlier than Emma but still came away for four pounds of candy.
Emma managed to get six pounds. Oh how I love Halloween.

Your costume was great! Be the same thing next year but invest in the staff/magic wand thing.

Maggie's pumpkin was not great it was disgusting and once I saw it I had a hard time staying on her porch. Yes I have arachnaphobia.

You think the never ending movie is great unless you live right by it and have to listen to the music vibrate your house until 9:30pm!

Your costumes are all so GOOD! I loved yours! We never dress up, I'm super lame when it comes to this stuff. Are you worried about your dd and boys? She is stunning! (Even as a pirate!)

Great job on Halloween at your house, I'm totally jealous!

I love love LOVE your Maleficent costume! You look fantastic in it, too! When I was in high school I made my own Maleficent, but it left a lot to be desired compared to your version. :)

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! :)
