All my Calendars are Finished

It feels good but I still have a really long way to go.

The Year is Flying By

I think that doing a picture a day and scrapping them by the week is making this year seem like it is rushing by faster than ever. I can't believe that we are on week 34 and day 230 something. It's just going way too fast. While I have *loved* doing this project and plan to finish out the year, I will be glad when it is over. I do not plan to do it again. I prefer to live in the ignorant bliss of just looking at a calendar here and there and not realizing exactly how far into the year I really am.

I think that this page with just the kids is one of my all time, most favorite pages ever. It's probably because of the subject matter ;) I know I am biased but I think they are adorable.

I Got Bored

So I did more pages.

On Sunday (I think? Maybe Saturday, does it matter?) I got an email for a free photo book. It's the email I had been waiting for. It's the reason I had been scrapping my vacation pictures since we got home. For once I was prepared, okay fine, more prepared than have been in the past. Sunday we didn't have church because of the temple dedication so I whipped up a few more pages and had everything ordered by Monday. I just got notice that is shipped today. I am so excited. I can't wait to see it.

This is going to be out of order because you know me, I am lazy, and don't want to move pictures.

This is the inside of the cover.
This page will be opposite of the Black Sand Beach page.
This is the front cover.
This is the back cover.
The last page.
This is next to the Banyan Tree page. It bugs me because it is white but somehow I saved it after I had flattened it so I couldn't change the background without starting all over. Once again I was too lazy so I convinced myself I could live with it.
We are so ready to go back.  I can't even tell you.

Project 365

Just some more layouts. I will hopefully be prepared when they announce the dates for the next "Need Some Incentive" so I can earn the next Hodge Podge kit.

A Few More Pages

Slowly but surely. I will be making a few adjustments. I will clean them up before I get them printed. The bottom one for instance, the bars will line up. The pink cording is bugging me too. I'll have to play with that. For now they are done and I am almost finished with the whole trip.

Some More Hawaii Pages

I want it known before I get any smart comments about how pineapples aren't flowers that these were ornamental, tiny, pineapples that were planted around a hotel lobby like...flowers. So there.

I still want to do pages for sunsets, our Luau, the road to Hana, the food and just some of our favorite shots. Once I get everything done I will order a photobook. If all goes well I will be done before 2010 ;)

Week 28 is complete

I love to read, quilt & digi-scrap. However, I have a hard time dividing my time between the three. I have been reading so much lately that I am actually surprised I got this done. I guess it's good that I haven't picked up my book yet today or I doubt that I would have done it.

Week 27 is Complete

This week that we are in right now is week 28. That means that we are at the half-way point of 2009. Can you believe it? I can't. I really really can't. We had a Bed Bath and Beyond catalog come in the mail yesterday and there is a bedding set that I *really* want for Andrew. Can you believe I considered getting it and putting it away for Christmas? Christmas. Wow. I can't believe how quickly time flies when you get older. It blows my mind.

Week 26 Part Two is finished

I changed the dotted border to red on the first page also but didn't feel like posting it again.

Angelee, you asked how I do my pages. I make them in Photoshop CS4 for Mac. I have been using Photoshop for Digi-scrapping since 2005. We had been to Disneyland for the 50th anniversary and I wanted a photo Christmas card that included more than one picture. It got the desired response too. People were asking where and how we had made our card!

(Here it is. The card that started it all. I don't think there is one drop shadow on there. That just proves how little I knew LOL! )
Paul helped me since he knew a little about the program and the obsession took off from there. I started with PS CS but lost that program when we got a virus at the end of last year. CS 4 has some quirks that I am still getting used to  but I love being able to create scrapbook pages without the mess. I still have a lot of supplies that I use for card making but I can't remember the last time I made a scrapbook page with paper.

Silly Delima

As you know my weekly re-cap pages are quite busy. That's okay. It's how I like them. It is different for me though and I do a lot of second guessing myself. I completed last weeks pages and while I love them I think these particular pictures might be better served on a less busy background. I could easily swap to a solid paper, lose the adorable blue dot things, or go with simple/less colorful attachments. Thoughts?

Also I love the red-white-and blue page. Love! I think since it has an eagle it is okay for it to be patriotic. (Also the second page with have some of my holiday decor that is also patriotic.) As a matter of fact our trip felt rather patriotic. Here's the problem. Next week is the 4th of July. Do I try and save the layout of next week and go back to the drawing board for this week? I love the page but really June isn't known for it's patriotism.

If you have any opinions let me know your thoughts. Be nice though. If you think everything is crap keep your opinions to yourself. ;) I don't care to hear that!

Going Back, Way Back

The original Project 365 goal was to take a picture every day. I then found all the cute digi-kits dedicated to scrapping all of the photos that were being taken. I couldn't resist doing something with all of my memories so I jumped on board. I got behind, way behind, so I starting scrapping forwards and backwards. Paul has been waking me up pretty early and I don't want to wake the kids with the sewing machine so I have had a lot of time to play on the computer. Here are a couple pages that I needed to go back and do.

And here is the week we just finished. Hopefully I will keep up from here on out and I won't get further behind. (I'm dreaming again.)

Another Week Down

Can you tell it's summer break? Pages to do, calendars to fill in, quilts to sew, so many things to keep me from cleaning my house!

The Calendar Pages

These are my favorite part of my 365 album, BUT, while I was in Hawaii I stopped working on them since I didn't have Photoshop on Paul's laptop. I got out of the habit big time. Today Paul woke me up much earlier than I would have liked (especially since he kept me up until well after 1:00am with all of his snoring and weird noises) so I needed a quiet project until it is time to get the kids up. (I would rather be sewing but that is way too loud.) So I decided to finish up April and tackle May. I need to start on June soon.
